Recently our daycare changed their sick policy from the standard: don't show up if you have had a fever/vomiting/diarrhea in the last 24 hours to requiring a doctor's note if the kids have a runny nose or consistent cough. I don't know about your kids, but that covers around 60% of my kids life time.I understand the need to keep illness contained. We keep our kids home when they get a fever, have any infections, stomach/intestinal issues, etc. It just seems to me like a runny nose falls under a different category? Both of us work and have very limited time off (especially after accounting for the 3 weeks of vacation we need to take due to various daycare holidays), so having to run to the doctor whenever my kids start their bi-weekly snot fountains will be more than an inconvenience.I was just curious what others experiences with sick policies are. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2qR46iI
