This is a weekly (sometimes daily) occurrence at school, none of his parents (Me, His mother/my wife, his biological father) have ever witnessed it, he's fairly well behaved outside of school. He gets into arguments with girls in his class, teachers, admin and starts hitting, biting, spitting, scratching, pulling their clothes, pushing, kicking, etc. It's never a boy or a male member of the school staff. He has been put on mood stabilizers, non-stimulant ADHD meds, is in counseling, sees a psychiatrist, behaviorist, play therapy, and pediatrician.Despite being near the top of his class academically, the school wants us to agree to put him in special education which we have agreed to. But his level of violence towards women/girls is so quick to escalate, that I think he needs boarding school or some kind of institutionalization. His biological mom and dad have no history of violence and are both well educated and professional, as am I. We don't know where his rage is coming from and it doesn't help that none of us have ever witnessed it and that it's almost hard for us to believe it's really happening based on his mild demeanor around us.What should I, as a step-parent, but also the person who spends the most time with him, be doing to help the situation? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2p1GKTf
