LPT: If there's an especially problematic student or bully in your child's class, e-mail the teacher and CC the principal. Parent complaints have more weight than teacher referrals.

If your child is struggling in class with a student who is constantly bothering or bullying him/her, it's likely your child's teacher already knows and has documented and reported it. However, very little is usually done until a parent complains to administration. I'd always advise keeping in touch with the teacher, but what generally happens is we're often ignored. In my eight plus years of teaching, heat from the parents generally gets a solution found faster and better especially if you back it up with facts and a calm voice.Note: If everyone in class is bullying your child, your child's probably the one that's the problem. It's like that quote "If you run into an a-hole in the morning, you ran into an a-hole. If you run into a-holes all day, you're the a-hole."
