I was looking through some posts on here and saw that most toddlers are sleeping 12-ish hours per night + a nap.My 18 month old sleeps no more than 9.5 hours a night (while waking every 1.5-2 hours to nurse) and maybe a single 30 minute nap during the day. If we're driving around a lot, he might take another nap.Are there simply some kids who sleep less? I have a very solid bedtime routine for him and have done the same thing for the last year. If I try to put him to bed any earlier than 9:30pm, he wakes up at 3am and won't go back to sleep for hours. I tried it for an entire week once before giving up.I cosleep, and he will only sleep/nap with me in the bed facing him. If I get up to grab a drink or even sit in a chair beside my bed; he wakes up and cries asking to nurse, so I essentially get zero breaks and very little sleep (I have an 8 year old as well).I don't really like complaining, it could be much worse - I'm just wondering if there's anyone else out there with a child like this, and if it's ever going to change? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2pc61u6
