The son was born with penile torsion. The tip of his penis sits at 3:00 instead of the normal 6:00. His scrotum is also shifted to the left slightly instead of connecting where it normally should. The pediatric urologist suggested surgery to correct this problem but said without surgery he should function normally. They also said that this procedure should be done before the child is 2 years old. The doc seemed to think peeing may be his biggest issue though he should be able to manipulate his aim true. Of course I want what's best for my child but surgery at his age is terrifying to me. I try to put myself in his position and I feel like I could tolerate his condition if I had it but I can't speak for him and neither can he. Have any of you been through this? Any advice? Men do you have this problem? Women would you care if your partner had a curved penis? I have to imagine there are plenty of curved penis' out there.
