My oldest is in middle school. I picked him up from school yesterday and he told me that they had an assembly because the school has banned touching. Hugging, hand holding, and putting your arm around someone's shoulders are all considered inappropriate behavior and will lead to detention or suspension if caught.I later received an email that pretty much said exactly that. My son didn't seem to be too worried about it and I'm not really either, but I did think it seemed a little weird. I know another school district near us bans tag at recess because of concerns about touching.I'm not going to go up to the school and raise hell, but I was curious to see what other people thought.
