Too young for kitchen or workbench playset?

I want to get my daughter cool kitchen and workbench play sets for her first birthday. I saw a couple that I'm really excited about. But I'm worried that she might be on the young side for that kind of toy, and after she's done using the pieces for teethers, she will lose her excitement for them and not find them magical when they're more developmentally appropriate. My time and energy, when not spent on her, is split between the kitchen and the workshop, and I really want to share these interests with her.Is this a realistic concern?
