Teen wants to quit her job

16yo (17 in April) wants to quit her job of seven months. She’s already applying for other jobs and looking around, she works at a grocery store for now. I usually have to drive her there, which is a 30 min commute while the other jobs she’s looking at are only 15-20 min away. She was mildly depressed during the beginning of the school year, and it greatly affected her performance while working. She has turned it around since then and wants to find somewhere new to work. She has given notice to her manager that she might be leaving, although it isn’t a serious job, I’m not sure if she should quit or not. Her reasons were she didn’t like the environment/work she had to do and wanted to find a clothing store at the mall.
