My 13 yo son stole his mother’s credit card information and I don’t know what to do.

So, not my card but his mother’s, so he went in to her purse and took the information and used the card to buy upgrades in his Roblox game. He’s never done anything like this before and I know there needs to be a punishment but I just don’t know how because he’s never done anything so serious. It’s really shocking that this happened and he lied again when originally confronted. Then he sends a text this morning asking us not to tell his grandmother or anyone else in the family and to unlock his phone so he can download apps again. So right after being caught for stealing he’s making requests of us. Do I take his phone? Do I take his phone and Xbox? Both? Do I make him work to pay us back and then work until the cost of the phone and Xbox is payed off too? Any advice on how to handle this breach of trust would be so greatly appreciated. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2VNc6RJ
