Husband thinks grandparents are spoiling our 9 month old/turning her into a brat

We have been lucky to have grandparents watch our daughter since she was born. Initially it was super helpful. However now I’m noticing it’s not as helpful. But with the virus going around daycare is off in the distant future still. The recent problem is our 9 month old is definitely getting smart and seeing what she can get away with. My husbands parents watch her 3 days a week and his aunt watches her 2 days. They are all retired and she is basically all they look forward to. This means anytime she fusses they go to her or try to entertain her all the time and not much independent play. This is not realistic for us when we have her alone. We have also noted she’s less bratty when it’s us. If I’m in the middle of something and she gets fussy I don’t attend to her immediately and she finds a toy then and amuses herself. Because daycare is far away still we don’t know how to deal with this. Anyone else have this issue? The point isn’t to neglect or not to play with her AT ALL but it’s also unrealistic to play with her 24/7 like the grandparents do and we worry about setting up bad habits, because she’s definitely figuring it out! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Jg6eJe
