4yo constantly picking at lips, fingers, & toes

Hi all -My 4yo is constantly picking at her skin. It’s been going on for quite some time, and prior to our self-isolation, I only really noticed her doing it in the evening at bedtime. Now that we are home together all day, I find her hiding to pick at her skin. I try not to make her feel ashamed of it, but just gently point out that I am noticing that she’s doing it. I’ve asked her why and she doesn’t seem to really know.I also have a history of doing this (and still do now), so it’s very possibly something she picked up from me. It’s a nervous habit I’ve never really been able to break. My concern with her is that there’s something underlying there (anxiety, maybe?) but I’m not sure how to tackle it.I don’t feel like “take her to a therapist” is the right move yet because I don’t think we have really done anything to address it as parents.Anyone have experience with this or any ideas on how to communicate with her about it? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3acFLbq
