Should I medicate my 12 year old

My daughter has anxiety and I ended up having to homeschool her for 6th grade because school became too much for her. She also has dyscalculia and that definitely made it worse. She's very socially awkward and has trouble making friends but she does have a few. This year 7th grade she missed her friends and wanted to try public school again and I let her. Yesterday was her first day and she had a bad experience. She got lost and didn't understand the school work (we started a week late). However she was fine until she was alone with her thoughts and had a full on meltdown last night. Previously her therapist didn't think she needed medication (I agreed she was too young) and she didn't have this much anxiety before. She refused to go her second day today and has been crying all morning. I am going to take her to the doctor but wanted some second opinions. Would you medicate your 12 year old for severe anxiety? Or just take her out and resume homeschool? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2MVaCRz
