Need ideas for 2 winter birthday parties

Grandmom raising grandchildren, 7 & 8, here. I am panicking a little because of Halloween, then 2 birthdays and then Christmas.I just don't have much money. We're secure, but I get no foster pay because I'm grandma, so I have to be frugal.I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out a way to NOT to rent venues. I can't use my home this year because my kitchen is being renovated/repaired and much of the house is under repair. I do have an insulated room in the garage. My granddaughter (Halloween birthday) talks about her birthday all year long. My grandson (December birthday) would go for a smaller party, but last year when his classmates sang Happy Birthday at his first ever party, his response was so touching that some of the moms who didn't even know him cried. They need celebrations. They need to feel special.I thought you guys might have some ideas for budget-friendly birthday parties. We live in the north, so outdoors is not an option. We live near a university, so have access to poor, creative college students. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2ObDm8J
