Please delete if not allowed. Here’s a back story, my ex and I have been separated for almost 2 years, we have a 12 year old daughter together, who he hardly come and sees, every 3 months or so he will take her for a weekend, he doesn’t call and hardly messages He lives about 2 hours away and lives with the woman that split us up, they also have a 10 month old daughter together. My daughter still adores him, and that’s not the problem,Twice in the time we have been separated, he has tried to commit suicide, and he is in the hospital atm recovering from his last attempt, and he’s very touch and go. He may succeed this time.I have been in contact with his family, and they don’t think it would be a good idea for us to visit, as it may stress him out further. My daughter has no knowledge of his attempts, or how deep his depression is. She doesn’t even know he’s in the hospital. She hasn’t been in contact with him since June.Should I tell her? Should I hope he pulls through and not say anything? She is very emotional and is in therapy for anxiety and her own mental health.I really don’t know what to do. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2N1pfTp
