Had to emergency babysit a 4yr old relative tonight which is no problem ... except my kids are all in their teens and older so don't have all the toys we use to. Being an active curious child, he wasn't interested in vegging out in front of a screen (though he made sure we did have Netflix, just in case).Thankfully, despite my kids "outgrowing" their multiple lego sets, I never have. And have insisted on keeping them (or I should say their several thousand individual pieces) in plastic storage tubs with the intent of me finding some time to build with them in my eventual golden years. So glad to have them tonight - broke out those totes and young relative and I had a blast! SO even got in on the action while teens were banished to their rooms to finish homework they'd managed to forget over the long weekend and suddenly "discovered" after they got back from being out with friends. So I was justified in my insistence that while other toys my kids could keep or give/sell as they wished - all Legos revert back to me! (And still looking forward to more building in those mythical future golden years - hopefully my fingers will still have strength to snap them apart - LOL!) via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2zMDRgU
