Am I having a unique experience or is everyone else lying about how miserable being a parent is?

Yes my kids bring me tons of joy but... I feel like 85% of the time my life with them is that meme “bro I’m straight up not having a good time.”I don’t walk around moping and complaining or anything. I smile and laugh with my kids and make the best of these years of being in the trenches. But if I’m being honest, it sucks.It seems like other people are taken aback when I bring up what a terrible time parenting young kids is. Like, it is though? I’m not saying I don’t love them, or that I wish I wasn’t a parent, or that there’s anything wrong with my kids. I’m saying that what it takes to raise kids isn’t fun most of the time.
