My 10 year old son yesterday claimed that at camp, a counselor was angry, so he hit my son. I told this to everyone else at the camp, and they all deny that such a thing happened. They showed me how that the camp's rules state that if they are abusive, they will not be allowed to offer camps anymore, so they are very careful about that. My son, however, insists that his story is true. However, I think he may be making it up, since he doesn't want to be at camp. I don't know what to think -- on the one hand, I don't feel comfortable taking my son to a camp that is abusive, but on the other hand, I don't want to take my son out of camp if he is lying, because that will just teach him that lying will get him what he wants.
