How to get your children to clean their rooms

Never make your kids tidy their rooms. Kids imitate. So keep your room clean and they'll copy. In the end.I say this because FINALLY my boy got sick of living in filth, tidied his room himself and has kept it immaculate for 2 weeks. There was a time I just couldn't go in there anymore (physically because the door wouldn't open due to the clothes on the floor, but also the SMELL OF ROTTING FOOD). So I closed the door.Today I gave myself a pat on the back when I went it to see a sparkling clean room with clothes hung up and everything put away.
