My son’s mom feels like a failure.

We have a one year old son together who is currently dealing with a slight delay in development. He had an eligibility appointment for physical therapy yesterday & it was determined that he is behind with his fine/gross motor skills development, as well as his cognitive development. He has to go to therapy to be able to catch up. I’m okay with that & I told the mom that our son needs a strong support system & requires you to be patient with him.Now today, she texted me saying she feels like a failure because our son is behind in his development. I’m trying my best to keep her uplifted but it doesn’t look like it’s working. A month ago, she took him to an eye doctor and it was noted that his left eye is weak & he could possibly go blind. As soon as she heard that, she started to feel like a failure too.How could I keep her uplifted and remain strong for our little one because I truly believe that he will overcome every obstacle that is thrown at him & he won’t be able to do that without her love & support as well? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/310tHF7
