I’m 5 months pregnant with my first child. A son. Aside from the support of my amazing family. I intend to do this on my own. My brother (25) and I (24) were raised by my mother who became a widow when we were 7 and 8. While I humbly believe I turned out okay. Thoughtful, respectful , hard working. My brother is the complete opposite! Angry, inconsiderate and lazy as all hell. I think its largely due to him not grieving fully for our father but idk. All I know is I want my son to be gentleman who works hard and is considerate of others. That is strong but not afraid to share is emotions. How can I still instill this behavior without having a father figure around? My sons father is a generally a good man and could show him so much. It’s really a shame. But he never wanted children and I haven’t heard from him since I told him the news (more about that in my previous post) so I must prepare myself accordingly.Thank you in advance xox via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2XtmxqJ
