Those words came out of my 3-year-old’s mouth tonight. My heart sank as my mind raced to figure out why she would say something like that, and where she learned such a bigoted idea as disliking someone who is “dark”. I followed her gaze to the TV where “Deal or No Deal” was on. She covered her eyes when they showed “The Banker” - a woman we only know from her shadow, hiding behind a screen.
