I buy too many toys/Kids spoiled

Some backstory. My mom never bought me anything growing up. She didn't celebrate holidays and she didn't buy me toys. Most of what I had came from other people's hand me down toys and most of her extra $ went to drugs.I have the give my kids what I didn't have syndrome and they are spoiled. They're not just spoiled with things but with love/attention/food/snacks, etc but ny MAIN problem is I love for them to have toys. I went to Target last night to get something for me and saw all of the clearance toys and didnt buy anything for me but got them a toy. I immediately felt buyers remorse and when I got home my husband had a look of disappointment. He just went through their room and threw out a lot of toys. I felt like I was going through an episode of Hoarders. It was so hard for me to watch things go. I know it should be easy to just not spend the $ but at the store I immediately think what I can get the kids. Just kinda needed to get it off my chest but any advice is welcomed. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2G4LToU
