I come from Hispanic parents. I know Spanish but my kids unfortunately don’t. But I’ve been trying to teach them. Anywho this morning I figured I’d look for Spanish speaking kids shows to help them and I stumbled into a show called “planeta ninos” where they’re talking to the kid audiences directly. They’re talking about how it’s ok not to take things seriously. How it’s important to learn to laugh and look at life in a positive way. They talked about how laughter improves overall health. “Fell off your bike?” “Don’t cry, Laugh and get back up!” “Added too much milk to your cereal!” “Don’t get upset! Laugh and clean up we all make mistakes!” They incorporate simple health facts (laughter helps fight stress!) and even nutrition facts and fun trivia all while talking to kids in a happy non patronizing positive way. All this with scenes of kids swimming, playing in playgrounds, playing with their parents etc. It’s such a lovely children’s show it has a kind of Sesame Street vibe...except without all the puppets. They really need to make a show like this in English! My kids are watching but I don’t think they understand what’s being talked about just yet lol. think English speaking children audiences could benefit from a show like this. It’d be a refreshing break from all this CGI shows that are everywhere now via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2GxtL7N
