Kids say the darndest things?

So my almost 3 year old is obsessed with the Sound of Music when my parents let her watch most of the film while babysitting. Been pretty innocent so far with her learning the words to her favorite songs and naming all her toys after various characters in the movie.Well, after another (supervised) viewing where we cut off the film before the ending, she picked up on a certain word in the film and finally asked "what's a nazi?" So the best thing I could explain to her that nazi's are "bad guys." Cut to today when now she seems to be very into a good guy/bad guy dynamic when she plays and I hear her playing with her toys and she says "I'm a nazi! I'm a nazi!"Of course in her mind, she's just playing a game where one of her toys is a "bad guy," but I'm a little worried that she's going to say this in public or bring it up at her birthday in a week when playing with her friends (ok, you guys are the nazis and we're the good guys."I've explained to her that we'd prefer if she just used the words "bad guy" instead and in her infallible toddler logic, she's "just pretending" and "playing sound of music." Any tips on getting her to drop the word? Trying not to react too strongly just cause I know hat will probably encourage her to say it more.I thought about telling her to use the term "alt right" instead... via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2pt9fKH
