Hockey related things my 2-year-old said

My 2-year-old is a hockey fan - he loves to play floor hockey and enjoys watching it on tv too. We bought some soccer nets for my 5-year-old and are going to use them as hockey nets for our son as well. Today we played hockey with the nets, but before we could start he said "stop mommy, we need to sing 'O Canada' first". Then as I started to sing he said, "wait mommy, you have to stand behind me in a line." Then as I sang, he held his mini-hockey stick upright and rested his head on the end of the stick the way a lot of players do. We then proceeded to play. Half-way through our game he turned around and said "mommy, I have the number 5 on my back!"I never realized how much of the game my son is taking in when he watches games on tv. I was impressed but it was also pretty cute too! I hope I don't have to sing 'O Canada' every time we play now! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2qnNhJO
