I feel like such a failure as a mom. My 6.5 yr old is the queen of finding a device to sneak on and watch YouTube/play Roblox. We have severely limited her time on these 2 after finding information about pedophiles lurking on Roblox and also seeing the effect of YouTube on her. We've done no device for a week already. We've spanked. We've talked about it and discussed when she could go on it instead (limited time on weekends).She's a great girl other than this sneaky behavior. She's an amazing reader, awesome student, has a great heart, involved in sports... I'm a teacher and I just feel like I should be getting this right and somehow I can't figure out how to get her to stop being so sneaky. It scares me for what lies ahead as I did the same thing she's doing but I was around 11/12 and doing unsafe things.Tl;dr 6.5 year old is sneaking on computers to play games/ go on YouTube late at night.
