Please help with how to tell my 4 year old daughter that her grandfather has passed away.

My late-50s father unexpectedly passed away yesterday. I've finally composed myself enough to ask for help with this.My 4 year old daughter was very fond of him. She is rather advanced when it comes to awareness and memory for a 4 year old. She is also very sensitive and emotional.I already told her that grandpa is sick and I need to go see him, and I'm flying to his town now. For multiple reasons I don't want to get into, I could not bring my wife and daughters with me.My fear is that she will develop some sort of complex from this. I want to shield her from the sadness and trauma of death at such a young age. At the same time, she's too smart and old to just forget about him when he stops visiting.Any advice on how to handle this? Thanks. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2lhbr9Z
