Video recording is a helpful tool!

For the month of January, my son (3) decided he no longer wanted daddy to read books at night. For the first couple days it was sweet that he wanted to spend extra time with mommy, but over time I wanted to be included in bed time again and she wanted a break. It would always result in arguments and tantrums and we couldn't find a solution.Sometimes he would tell me I could read books and then change his mind when bedtime actually rolled around. I had an idea to take a video of him saying so and then played it back to him last night. It worked like a charm! "If I said it, that must be what I want," is what I imagine he was thinking. I'm going to try this for everything from eating peas to cleaning up his room from now on. Thought it might be a helpful tool for you as well. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2jD8par
