Just learned that a fellow mother at my son's preschool was killed in a murder/suicide. Is there anything I can do for the teachers that would be appropriate?

We just received a horrifying message from the preschool director that the mother of two children in the program was found dead, presumably killed by her partner. This was discovered after the children were not picked up from school yesterday. I am so grateful that the children were spared, though I know they have a long road ahead of them.I will participate in a fundraiser for the children, if one is held but in the meantime, is there anything I can do as a kind gesture to the staff? Everything I've come up with seems so trivial. I am sure they knew something was wrong when no one showed up for the children. I can only imagine how much they must be reeling right now but because it's a small school, they have to remain there for the rest of the day (3 hours). Thank you in advance.EDIT: I called the school and spoke with one of the teachers. I offered to come over and sit with the children in case they needed to step out at any time. They declined but appreciated the offer. I'm still hoping to do something, even if it seems trivial. I welcome any and all ideas. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2leXPIr
