So it's happening, you guys. The chica wants her ears pierced - or, more accurately, she mentioned it a couple of times, which isn't quite the same thing. If she seems serious about it, we'll start looking around for a reputable piercing parlor (not one of those damned mall-shop things).In the meantime, I'm looking for advice on resources to make sure she knows exactly what she's in for.I won't lie - I don't think she's quite ready, and my preference is that she wait at least a couple more years until she's a bit more mature. But I also want her to be able to have bodily autonomy as much as is reasonable, and in my estimation this is reasonable. At the same time, I'm a big proponent of everyone, kids included, making informed decisions.Any recommendations for what/how to teach her about all of this?
