While some days are spent arguing about how throwing a tantrum is counter-productive to actually just studying for the damn test, our son, 13 years old, made us proud as heck yesterday. On the bus home from school he noticed three older kids bullying a man with Down's Syndrome. He went over to them and told them to stop. They told him to piss off and threatened to beat him if he didn't. He held his ground and said "No, you stop it." Eventually the bus driver noticed and came over, and I don't know what happened after, but DAMN, SON, I'm so proud of you! This is a boy who himself was bullied a few years ago, and we even switched schools to get away from the toxicity of his former class. And now he goes and shows us that he's not putting up with that crap any more. My wife high-fived me when he told us. "We did a good job with this one." via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2mo2lVa
