Parenting can be emotional. It can make you question everything you know. Everyday you wake up trying to be the best you can be for them. I have a teenage boy, he can really test my patience (as most teenagers do). Sometimes I feel like I have failed horribly as a parent. Last night after arriving home from an away wrestling meet he says to me "I just wanted to say thank you to you and Dad for making it to all of my games and meets, never missing one. I dont know what I would do if I didn't have you there. It means allot." That, right there, made all of everything worth it. That's all I needed to hear! For some reason none of our parents are showing up to support their kids, my son noticed. So parents. .please. .. support your children. Your presence means so much to them.
