My oldest is turning 16 soon and will be eligible to get his junior license. He will have had his permit for 6 months by that point and has practiced driving a bunch.Per state laws, with a junior license, drivers cannot drive more than a single passenger of any age (family excluded) or drive between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless there is a licensed driver present. He will obviously have to follow those rules, but I was wondering what other rules you have for your teen drivers. This is our first rodeo and I want to see what more experienced parents have to say. If he maintains a perfect driving record, he will be able to get his full license when he is 16 years and 6 months old. I want to instill good habits before then.Bonus question: We are considering telling our son that we will match whatever he saves up during the summer to buy him a car. He can't work during the school year due to sports and school commitments, but he does want to get a summer job. Does that seem like a reasonable rule? How did you handle the car situation? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2lrTylH
