TV/Movie suggestions for my 8-year-old niece who doesn't watch anything besides Sam and Cat

My 8-year-old niece is a little jaded with all of the Netflix kids content and I keep comparing it to the shows I used to watch when I was little. I may be overly impressed because I was young, but they seemed to be much more interesting. I didn't live in the US for very long, but I liked shows like What's the Story Wishbone, Arthur, Zaboomafoo, Reading Rainbow.
