My son recently got a device called a bionator (I was told either that or jaw surgery). It is basically a top and bottom retainer stuck together that he constantly has to lightly bite down on to hold in place. His orthodontist said it would take some getting use to, but I wasn’t expecting it to be so bad.My son basically can’t talk. He was told to talk with his lips, with his teeth together but everything is garbled. Plus he says it feels huge in his mouth. He seems really upset. But I am proud he is keeping it in his mouth.We were told he has to wear it 24/7 even at school, but I just don’t know about that. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3clBmnX
