Mom Fail

So my 3 year old has a bad habit of using the excuse “I have to pee” to get out of doing things he doesn’t want to do such as sitting in his car seat. He doesn’t ever actually have to pee when he throws one of these tantrums. Today my husband ran in the store to grab a jar of peanut butter and my son immediately started screaming he had to pee. I tried to just ignore him for a moment so he didn’t get the attention he was looking for, trying to give him a lesson in patience. I’m sure you can see where this is going. He did end up having to pee and he peed his pants in his car seat. I feel HORRIBLE. I apologized to him, made sure he knew I was wrong and that he didn’t do anything wrong.
