Husband always crying to me about everything

He always has some sort of petty problem with our daughter that he can't handle himself. It's only minor things like forgetting to put away the dirty dishes away left in her room or not making her bed. Things that he can solve on his own. Whenever she did something he comes running after me like he doesn't know how to parent. Our daughter is 16 and is perfectly capable of sorting things out with her Dad. I ignore him and make him deal with it his own. Everything she does he reports back to me about. It is very aggravating, usually it's she did this or or she did that. They don't really have a strong relationship becuase he can be very strict on her and the punishments are outrageous. Most of the time she confides in me and I step in and handle it.
