Grandma making drop offs worse?

I posted the other day that my 9 month old is having a hard time being left alone with dad but I thought I'd talked my mom, her babysitter, about this. She agreed that a quick goodbye is best because my sister used to freak out when dropped off at daycare because it was so prolonged.Well today, I'd said bye, mom closed the door, then she comes running outside for "one more kiss". My baby's face was red but I said "don't make a big deal, mom" and waved bye to the baby again. I've no idea if she had a meltdown when she got back inside but did I do the right thing? I didn't want another kiss because I'm sure the baby would've grabbed for me..She's usually really happy at drop off so today was odd. I honk for her when I leave so I honked when I left today.
