Is it possible to raise children on a 50K a year income in a expensive metropolitan area?

I'm just curious how parents do it. I live near Washington D.C. and the cost of childcare for 2 children is around $1,700 a month.And private schools are 20K a year, easily.I'm just wondering how parents do it without being rich :) via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2DhglKO
