I'm a single dad, 50/50 custody. My kids are 2 (son) and 5 (daughter).I was a stay at home dad for about a year when my daughter was smaller. It wore me down but I loved every day. On snow days or when it was really rainy outside we sometimes watched Frozen, which came out on video shortly before my daughter was born. She loved everything about. She asked me to sing the songs all the time, she pretended to be Elsa, she would stomp on the kitchen floor and make me pretend that she just turned everything to ice, she made me pretend to be Anna while she would "make snow" by rolling her hands over one another like Elsa does in the movie, she would dance with her oversized teddy bear every time I played the main song. She absolutely loved it. All of it.Her first sentence was one from the movie, but she only said it a couple times before stringing other words together, but it was a funny thing to hear her go from saying single words to a small, complete sentence. Now, several years later, the next one is coming out and I've gone pretty much all out. I bought special outfits for both her and my son for the release, I bought the tickets, I made special treats for the night, everything.I'm just really excited about recreating the fascination she used to have with it. She still loves the first one, but not like she used to. I'm excited about sharing the experience with my two kiddos and giving them a special day because I can't have many of them between my work schedule and school schedule and their school schedule. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2CZqWtJ
