10 years old daughter is losing friends because of a “sticky” friend - need advice for her

My daughter is getting very stressed lately as one of her school friends (let’s call her K.). doesn’t leave her alone for one second. To the point she can’t even play with the other kids, K is always coming along. My daughter feels she’s losing friends and feels left out when trying to play with the other kids. She’s not getting invited to as many play dates, and i believe is affecting her grades now.K is a sweet girl and does have some other friends, but still she only wants to play with my daughter. She waits for my daughter at recess, and follows her wherever she goes. My daughter tried “being late” for recess to see if she starts playing with someone else, but K just stays there waiting.We stop arranging play dates with K, and are trying to invite other girls for play dates with our daughter, but beyond that, we’re not sure what to doAny advice is greatly appreciated ! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/34fVq6N
