Should I let son’s bio father come to his birthday party?

Son is turning 5 in a few months. His bio dad who has not been present at all until recently has been asking me about what I’m planning to do for his birthday. His bio dad has been in and out of jail for years and has been a deadbeat, even if he has turned over a new leaf I don’t think he is someone I want around my son at all. It would only confuse him and I don’t think his father will be a good influence on him.
