Our daughter (14) is watching porn. I'm not sure if I should tell my wife, because she'd handle it horribly.

Hey,so my wife recently noticed porn in a shared iPad's history and scolded me for it, because our daughter (14) is using it as well and could stumble across it by accident. The thing is... that wasn't me.I couldn't remember watching porn on that iPad, but who knows, maybe I messed up, so I just said I'm sorry and that I'll clear the history. After looking into it, I'm 100% sure that I'm not responsible, which leaves our daughter as the only possible option. There were only videos from one viewing session, I guess she just forgot to use incognito mode once. I've skipped through the videos and couldn't find anything disturbing.I don't think that it's a big deal, but I know my wife and she'd give her all kinds of shit over it. She's the religious type and barely accepted that I'm watching porn sometimes, she'd go completely overboard.I feel like there are a few ways this could go down:I keep this information to myself, everyone is happy.I tell our daughter that I know and that she should be more careful. Maybe sprinkle in a bit about how porn and actual sex are different. Embarrassing for her, but probably the best way.I tell my wife and she goes ballistic, probably something along the lines of 4 weeks no iPad, no phone, laptop only for homework, screaming at her a lot, maybe even making her talk to her priest or some bullshit like that, although I would definitely prevent that.I tell my wife and somehow manage to convince her not to overreact. Unlikely, but possible. I guess I should still be the one doing the talk with our daughter in this situation, because there is no way she could do it without sounding disappointed and judgemental.I know that I shouldn't keep her out of parenting decisions, but I feel like it would be better for everyone in this case.I'm currently leaning heavily towards the 2nd option. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2UDKXhj
