Since it's Friday and I'm guessing we could all use a little positive thinking, I thought I'd put this up.This morning at breakfast I realized that it's been about a week with our 20 month is still using the same bib, and it's still clean enough to keep using-- whereas we used to have to get him a new bib every single stinking meal. Sometimes twice in a sitting. Now, I guess we're almost at the point where he won't need to bother with the bib at all. Or maybe we're there already. This got me thinking about the little "unconventional" developmental/parenting milestones. Not the ones your pediatrician or your friends ask about: I don't mean walking, talking, potty training, solid foods, etc. I mean the ones that you don't think about until it happens and you realize-- hey, I guess kiddo has gotten older and learned some things, huh? Like, in our case, somewhere along the line we got to the point where both our kids can feed themselves without destroying their outfits. It's the little things, you know? What are your "unconventional milestones" that you think are underappreciated? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/317j0RK
