Everywhere I read, and even my child’s pediatrician said to let them cry it out. I have been living with my mother for a bit to have her help with my son and I am moving out in September and when that happens I’m strictly doing this cry it out method not giving him any attention while he throws a tantrum and then pick him up and hug him etc when he has finally stopped the screaming and crying when things don’t go his way. I’m a bit uncomfortable doing so though because he’s my first child I don’t know if I’m doing this right and my mother thinks what I’m doing is child abuse because I’m letting him cry. But everything I read and like I said, his own pediatrician said to break him of his habit of constant tantrums for attention or when things don’t go his way is not good for him and to stop the behavior I have to be consistent. I just want advice on this, am I really doing this right? Does this happen to everyone else? Will he eventually chill out and not throw a million tantrums a day? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/32KdIwF
