Difficult 16 year old son - Antisocial Personality Disorder

We have a problem with our 16 year old son that exceeds the normal teenage misbehavior .. since early childhood he displayed very low empathy, few emotions and tends to make lying his first option. At this point he had aspirations to be emancipated and for that he wanted to establish an “unsafe home” by calling 911 after initiating a 3 second pushing altercation one day (I found his google searches on the topic). He defies any instructions, comes and goes as he pleases, is rude and aggressive. He has a minor job and paid for his phone and contract (although the contract is under his mother’s name). He does not share locations and does not answer phone calls or text messages unless he needs something. If he so chooses he does not come home at all at night. He refuses drug testing and therapy. The therapist after listening to all details said it would be unusual and sounds like antisocial personality disorder - a checklist we found online seems like a perfect match. My wife and I unfortunately have different parenting approaches- she is inconsistent with consequences, basically you just have to wait a day and all is forgotten. No hard lines. That’s being exploited by my son (and has been for years). My wife did not agree in the past but the therapist’s input opened her eyes a little bit. Now, we got legal counsel and learned that in Missouri we can evict our son (through the proper court proceedings) after giving him a written notice on his 18th birthday (which nearly coincides with his graduation from HS)In the meantime my goal is to “keep the peace”, avoid physical violence or property damage.Has anyone experience with a situation like this ? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Jadmrk
