Toddler (2y 1mo) and my wife is due in 2 weeks. How do I help?

It’s game time. In two weeks we’ll have another kid. I think we’re ready (as much as you can be). But I’m looking for advice. Our toddler has a TON of energy. He is constantly chasing our dog, running in circles, breaking things etc. You know. Two year old stuff.I’ll have a week off work which is awesome but then it’ll be back to the grind. I am specifically looking for advice on how I can make her life easier after that first week- when I get home from work in the evening... I know I will need to free her from the little man. But how? I live in a region that has very cold winters. It will be dark and around 20 degrees when I get home from work. We have survived until now by going to the park or going on a walk/hike to get his energy out, but that is already hard to do with the early sunset (and dropping temps). On top of that I don’t want to endanger the baby by getting him sick by taking him outside in the cold or to places full of sick kids.Any activity ideas for cold winter evenings? Am I too worried about him getting sick? Any random advice for me to help my wife postpartum?TLDR: looking for advice for a very energetic two year old during winter with a newborn in the home. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2KkRM28
