Today he is 13

My sweet son, my first born is 13 today. It hasn't been an easy road, my husband and I had him young, both of us in college. From the beginning family and doctors felt something about him was off but I was in denial, he was perfect to me. By 4 years old I could no longer deny there was something going on with him, and after evaluations found he was on the autism spectrum and had severe ADHD as well as anxiety. He has been in years of OT, group therapy, private therapies, IEPs, 504s, suspensions , constantly meeting with teachers and the principal. It's been very hard at times but we have made it to 13 and things are looking up! My husband and I are in the middle of a divorce and he had really been mature and as understanding as he possibly can.
