They are silly stories but I obviously don't want him to start a bad habit of making shit up to people so he looks and feels cool. For example, my mom took him to a souvenir shop to buy some shells to collect and then this morning he was telling my husband/his dad that he found them on the beach. Husband knew that wasn't the case and said, "Are you sure that's how you got those shells?" and then son started laughing and brushing it off and said, "I was just pretending!".This could be totally innocent and he'll outgrow it but it's starting to bother me a little and I want to nip it in the bud. How should I broach that subject without hurting his feelings or embarrassing him? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2QQXewb
