Context here is I'm a single mom of an energetic 5yo boy, only child. He's wonderful, he's my world...but he's exhausting. I dread weekends honestly, because I have no idea what to do with him. At least when it's nice outside there's the park. But generally my weekends are a non-stop effort to keep him occupied without letting the TV be a babysitter. He can't seem to stick with any one thing for long. Drawing - 20 minutes. Game - 20 minutes. Lego - 20 minutes. Clean your room - 5 minutes. I usually come up with one big thing to plan like going to a museum or something. That might be good for 4 hours at most. The point always comes where either he's bored or tired, but he just starts getting truly rambunctious and out of control and it's time to remove him from the situation and move on. So just looking for advice, any tips you've come up with to occupy your kid (or help your kid occupy themselves). via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2BtLL0j
